Riviera Impressions from Nice at the Hotel Amour

How does the Hotel Amour represent the French Riviera?

The different spaces – patio, bar, restaurant, terraces, rooftop – are all invitations to lazing around.  In the rooms, no TVs or telephones, but there are books and vintage magazines everywhere for everyone.  Here, we savor and contemplate the passage of time.  The 6th floor rooftop has a panoramic view of Nice’s orange, ochre and apricot colored roofs with the green hills in the background, something beautiful to think about.

What are the best places on the property for admiring the sunrise and the sunset?

We have a private beach, L’Amour à la plage, which means love on the beach, located just a few blocks away from the hotel.  And of course on the 6th floor rooftop complete with pool.

What is the best place on the property to catch some rays?

For hotel residents, the rooftop pool is the best place to enjoy the sun.  For other customers it would be the private beach along the Promenade des Anglais.

What is the best moment for a sun bath, morning or afternoon?

At our place, all day long!

Whether on the rooftop, the 4th floor terrace, the private in room terraces, or on the beach, you will always find a sunray at every moment of the day.

Your hotel in one word?

Your hotel in one fragrance?

Your hotel in one sentiment?

Your hotel in a song?

“Les paradis perdus” (Paradise Lost) by the late French singer Christophe.

Secret places around the hotel for guests to visit?

The perched hilltop villages, a fabulous way to spend an afternoon wandering around the villages where time seems to have stopped.

Or a walk along the shore to go for a dip in a hidden cove followed by a nap in nature’s midst.
