Under the February Sun

The most confidential beach in Italy

Hidden in the Camogli Bay, San Fruttuoso di Camogli includes a tiny monastery and XXS fishing village, located on a dreamy cove between turquoise waters of the Mediterranean and wild vegetation. Accessible only by sea or via a long steep trail plunging from the Portofino hills, you can either take a boat from Santa Margherita Portofino or put on your hiking boots to discover one of the most fascinating sites of Liguria. Upon arrival, visit the church and its bell tower, the monastery museum and the sublime abbey. After this breathtaking cultural promenade, have lunch in one of the typical fisherman taverns for something ultra-fresh like the divine sizzling fish and a chestnut flour cake. After this delicious meal, get in some beach time and enjoy the sun.

Why do we love it?  The magic of San Fruttuoso di Camogli comes from its secret side, that it’s so difficult to get there, so shhhhh…

Extra glow: the famous undersea sculpture Christ of the Abyss rests peacefully on the seafloor since 1954, so put on your snorkel and fins and swim out to see this immersed marvel.

Balearic Bohemia

How about finding those first spring sunrays on the isle of Ibiza?

La Granja is an extraordinary whitewashed hacienda amongst the olive trees, the good life!  Slide between the dark blue linen sheets, try a full moon yoga class, dine on the rustic unfinished wooden tables under the stars, stroll in the pine forest, take a gardening class with a hipster farmer, nap under the pergolas, taste the home grown vegetables while sipping organic mescal and wines.  Here time seems to stop to listen to the crickets!

Why do we love it?  The hacienda is adults only, absolute calm assured.

Extra glow: La Granja is a trendy new place that’s ever so nonchalant, a little bit design yet unquestionably hippy.
