#Places To Glow

Under the May Sun

On the southernmost tip of Corsica, at the end of a winding dirt road is a four star refuge for urbanites in need of a getaway.  Located between Porto Vecchio and Bonifacio, overlooking the Santa Manzu Gulf, U Capu Biancu is paradise in the wild.  Sleek ultra-contemporary architecture, 28 rooms and 14 suites divinely blend into the natural setting, you will totally unplug.  Wake up to the sound of the cicadas and take a dip in the infinity pool or go for a walk in the wild maquis.  Settle into the hotel’s beach restaurant La Paillote at lunchtime and taste some ultra-fresh fish and other local delicacies.  After a nap under the parasol, go for a ride on a bike, quad or 4x4.  Enjoy the sea, try snorkeling, jet skiing, scuba diving, water skiing or just doing nothing at all.  Everything’s possible here!  If you really feel like exploring, discover the Iles Lavezzi, the Fazio Cliffs and the Sdragonato Cove, but we’re betting that you won’t feel like leaving this little piece of Eden.

Why do we love it?  Wild and sophisticated, total relaxation and ultimate luxury.

Perched high upon an Ibiza cliff, the Hacienda Na Xamena is an incredible place that we just want to keep for ourselves.  Northeast of the island in the heart of a natural conservatory, it’s a marvelous blend of luxury and nature.  Lose yourself among the typical white buildings in the midst of the pools, patios, palm trees, arcades and secret galleries.  King size beds made up with white linens, light wooden floors and low tables, polished concrete, Eames chairs and leather couches, the 77 rooms are bright, all equipped with private Jacuzzis, some even have private mini pools.  Within the pines, enjoy one of the many hidden corners for relaxing in the sun, hit some balls on the tennis court, swim in the limpid sea, take a dip in the infinity Jacuzzis hollowed directly into the cliff, sip on a divine cocktail with your feet in the water and a breath taking view of the Mediterranean.  In the evening, reserve a table at Eden, the hotel’s lantern lit restaurant with yummy local treats like cured ham, tomato toasts and fresh fish under the stars.

Why do we love it?  Paradise lost at only twenty minutes from the hustle bustle of Ibiza, that’s rare!
